Brookfield Properties

Both BAM and Brookfield Properties teams in the Asia Pacific region have contributed to the charitable response to COVID-19 through:

• Cash donations via Brookfield Cares to various causes including Red Cross, OzHarvest and other non-profits focused on providing food to those in need.
• Providing 100 free parking passes at Sofitel Brisbane for Brisbane Private Hospital heath staff to use (owned by Healthscope)
• BAM donated leftover office supplies (i.e. milk, fruit and bread), and Brookfield Properties have co-ordinated with food retailers to make and donate meals to OzHarvest to help support homeless community members across Australia
• Co-ordinating the send PPE equipment for staff and frontline service contractors to where it is most needed. For example, our China office sent 700 thermometers to Aveo.
• Connecting the Sofitel Brisbane Central and Qantas to Aveo to explore the potential redeployment of any employees who have been ‘stood down’.
• In Western Australia, we are assisting Anglicare in a ‘mobile phone drive’ to donate mobile phones to vulnerable members of the community that may not have access to communication in lockdown.
• Our Healthscope business has been working with the government on how it can optimally support public-sector COVID-19 health efforts such as providing hospitals for public use.
